paint. As China’s auto industry enters
              a new 15th Five-Year Plan to transition
              toward high-value vehicles, the 2026
exhibition is expected to see a “New
              Energy & Connectivity” sector, highlighting
              technologies related to NEVs, connectivity,
              and autonomous driving.

                 Japan’s automotive industry is also
              accelerating toward software-defined
vehicles (SDVs) as the official plans as part
of a broader national strategy to strengthen
              long-term competitiveness through 2035.
According to Japan’s official “Roadmap on
Mobility DX Strategy,” the country aims
at a 30% share of the global SDV market
              while advancing the commercialization of
Level 4 autonomous driving. At the same
time, Japan’s ongoing labor shortages are
              becoming increasingly important across
the sector, placing greater emphasis on
              autonomous driving.
The 2026 edition of IAAE featured
368 exhibitors and 722 booths, marking
the exhibition’s largest booth scale to
date. The event attracted 16,719 visitors,
              including international attendees from
the United States, Canada, France, the
              United Kingdom, Germany, India, Italy,
Russia, South Korea, Turkey, and the UAE.
              The exhibition brings together suppliers
across parts cleaning, rebuilt / reman / used parts, car distribution, garage equipment & tools, diagnostics &
estimating, staffing agency & subsidy consulting, tires & accessories, auto aftermarket parts, collision repair
& refinish, roadside services, 3D printing, EV / autonomous vehicle products, commercial & large-size vehicle,
car detailing, car wash, and software solutions. Software-defined vehicles are also gradually changing how the
aftermarket approaches diagnostics, servicing, and repair efficiency. The IAAE reflects how Japan's automotive
aftermarket is advancing further toward a precision-oriented, technology-driven service ecosystem centered
on diagnostic accuracy, repair efficiency, and intelligent maintenance systems. IAAE 2027 is expected to
remain a key sourcing platform for addressing industry dynamics and adapting to new technologies in the EV
              and autonomous vehicle sectors.
