In the beginning Terng Yih concentrated completely on developing and manufacturing extrusion machines using T-dies, and the success of its first self-developed kraft paper and PP woven sack laminating machine, with sales exceeding 30 units globally in the three years following its debut, confirmed it in its direction.
Since then the company has developed a variety of extrusion machines, including lamination machines for packaging paper, release paper, polypropylene (PP) super sacks, cylinder bags, PP canvas and unwoven bags and car carpets; polyethylene vinyl acetate (PEVA) film making machines for embossed films and surgical glove and gown films; and PP flat yarn making and winding machines. For instance, the PP yarn making machine that it launched in 1998 featured an improved winding device with a higher speed--270 meters per minute--than most competing models on market at the time; the first PP 3-layer yarn making machine that it released in 2006 was a global hit because it cut production costs by providing 10%-higher yarn tension; and a yarn winding device developed in 2008 was noted for using a frequency converter to achieve automatic control of yarn tension, a high speed of 420 meters per minute, and low power consumption.
